Paulo Thiago (+190) risking 2 Units
Not only is Paulo Thiago a Martial Artist, but he's also a member of the BOPE in his home country of Brazil. For those of you not familiar with it, it's an elite Special Forces police unit based out of Brasilia, Brazil. BOPE units have extensive experience in urban warfare, and it's believed to be one of the most efficient military forces in the world. Simply put...Paulo Thiago is bad ass mother****er. His Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is arguably the best at welterweight, and he has very solid knockout power. Mike Swick has never faced someone...

5 Dimes Parlay (-136) for 3 Units
Diaz (-250)
Santos (-660)
Lashley (-1300)
The toughest fight in this parlay is the Nick Diaz fight. His skills are far surperior to Zaromskis in every aspect of the game. Unfortunately though, for Diaz, Zaromskis has a hell of a KO punch. He swings for the fences, and can possibly get lucky. I see Diaz getting tagged a little bit trying to stand up, but he should take it to the ground and submit Zaromskis rather easily. Santos is fighting a decently mediocre opponent in Marloes Coenen. Coenen hits hard and is a decent Muay Thai fighter,...

Always have bad luck with WEC for some reason, but let's turn it around tonight...
Ben Henderson (+120) risking 2 Units
Think this will be a back and forth fight, and I like Henderson's conditioning better. I think this is a semi-boring fight that'd decided by the slight edge in Henderson's wrestling game. Not to mention the whole time Varner has been hurt, Henderson has been actively fighting. Had Varner around +135, think the wrong fighter is favored here.

Urijah Faber (-400)
Kamal Shalarous (+150)
Urijah is the anchoring play. Would have loved to play this straight, but...

Not a major fan of this card, both from the betting standpoint, and the entertainment factor.
However, a few fights I like and took this AM...
Dos Santos (-300) for 3 Units
This is a fight where two fighter's careers are going in opposite directions. Yvel was lucky he was even allowed to fight this fight, after the past incidents. He better be careful, and pick his strikes wisely, or he'll never fight in the states again. Have to think going into a fight with "being careful" on his mind, against an animal like Dos Santos will not fare well. I will...

This has been a play I loved all week, debated last night on releasing it or not, and even playing it at all, after my slaughtering yesterday. It was supposed to be my NFL play of the year...
This year has been a rather rough one for me. I'm your typical snobby NFL handicapper. I hate when you play shit numbers. I hate going against smart money. I like fading the public. I like dogs in primetime games. This year however, has been very unique. The public had been raping the books for weeks and weeks, then heavy dog days, back...

Let me start off by saying, I know him personally, our parents went to high school together. Which, also means I know a lot about his camp, and the preparation for this fight. He has a top notch boxing coach in Mark Henry, attends a great Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school with Ricardo Almeida, whom is arguably one of the top 10 in the business, and he trains his wrestling with Steve Rivera. He also gets extra mat time as an assistant wrestling coach for Rutgers University.
Frankie Edgar was originally supposed to fight Kurt Pellegrino tonight in The Ultimate Fighter...

Tito Ortiz (+120) risking 2 Units
This was a hard fight for me to pick honestly, but one I've slowly come to love. While I very much like Forrest Griffin, and think he's much improved since the last time these two fought, I still see the gap in his game. Tito is a far superior wrestler, has a good chin, and can bang with the best of them. He's also in the best shape of his career, and looks truly refocused and hungry. I look for this one to possibly go to a decision again, with Ortiz the winner.
Anthony Johnson...

Boxing
Pacquiao (-275) for 2 Units
Way too tough of a chin, just don't see him losing this by KO. If it goes the distance, Cotto doesn't have the stamina or conditioning of Pacman. For every 3 punches Miguel throws, 20 more will be coming his way. I know everyone hates laying chalk, but this is just like the Yankees. Lay it.
UFC 105 (STARTS AT 3PM ET)
Couture (-101) for 2 Units
Everyone's scratching their head right now. Couture? You kidding me Chute? If Couture loses this fight, he's retiring, bet on it. Hollywood here we come. So Brandon Vera is going to...
